Practice

Arrif joined Chambers in 2025 upon completion of his pupillage with Mr Edwin Choy SC,
Mr Lawrence Hui, Mr Herbert Leung, Mr Kenneth KY Lam and Mr Adrian CK Wong. He
also served as marshal to Mr Justice Godfrey Lam JA, High Court Master Adrian Wong, and
Deputy District Judge Felix Li of the Family Court.

Arrif graduated from the University of Hong Kong with BBA(Law) & LLB and PCLL. He
was subsequently awarded the Chevening Scholarship and obtained an LLM with Distinction
from University College London.

Arrif is developing a broad civil and criminal practice and accepts instructions in all areas of
work. In civil matters, he has experience in defamation, commercial and contractual disputes,
property and land litigation, personal injuries, bankruptcy and winding-up proceedings, and
matrimonial and family law cases. In criminal matters, he has exposure in cases involving
fraud and bribery, money laundering, industrial summonses, traffic offences, sexual offences,
burglary, offences against the person, and dangerous drugs. During his service as a research
assistant at the University of Hong Kong’s Clinical Legal Education Office, he acquired
particular experience in criminal appeals to the Court of Appeal.

Arrif is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin and is able to conduct civil and criminal
proceedings in both English and Chinese.

Apart from his legal practice, Arrif is a registered football referee and has keen interest in the
development of sports law in Hong Kong.
