Practice Profile
Before being called to the Hong Kong Bar in 2007, Kalvin was trained as a solicitor at Mallesons Stephen Jaques with emphasis on M&A and IPO, and was enrolled as a solicitor in Hong Kong in 2006.
Kalvin served his pupillage with Mr Bernard Chung, Mr Walker Sham, Mr Bernard Man SC, and Mr Jason Pow SC. Kalvin is a civil and criminal practitioner.
On the civil side, Kalvin’s area of practice includes telephone & e-mail fraud, commercial, matrimonial (including third-party disputes), tenancy & trust, defamation, adverse possession, indigenous village houses, employment, bankruptcy, estate agents disciplinary inquiry, probate, mental health, and personal injuries cases.
On the criminal side, Kalvin is experienced in Chinese and English trials for the Prosecution and Defence in magistracy (with over 10 years of specialisation in departmental summonses) and District Court, as well as acting for appellants in magistracy appeals. He also attends professional visits and conducts bail applications and mitigation regularly. Kalvin is also on the Legal Aid Panel.
Kalvin is fluent in Cantonese, English and Putonghua.
